Hi Youth,
Sorry for the prolonged silence on my part. Its been a really busy December.
Anyway, we're going to start off 2009 with a bang. We're going to have a party at JJB's house at 12.30pm.
Yupyup, for catering purposes, please let JJB know by Watchnight Service (Wednesday) if you're coming or not.
Of course, the above statement are actually imperatives, not declaratives. If you don't know what these mean by now, tag the tagboard, i'll explain.
Haha... 4 more days to the start of the new school year. Hope you guys are prepared and holiday homework is completed.

The BIBLE & The Coal Basket
The story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading from his old worn-out Bible.
His grandson who wanted to be just like him tried to imitate him in any way he could. One day the grandson asked,
"Papa, I try to read the Bible just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible do?
"The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said, "Take this coal basket down to the river and bring back a basket of water." The boy did as he was told, even though all the water leaked out before he could get back to the house.
The grandfather laughed and said, "You will have to move a little faster next time," and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.
This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was "impossible to carry water in a basket," and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, "I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You can do this. You're just not trying hard enough," and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got far at all. The boy scooped the water and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.
Out of breath, he said, "See Papa, it's useless!"
"So you think it is useless?" The old man said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket and for the first time he realized that the basket looked different. Instead of a dirty old coal basket, it was clean.
"Son, that's what happens when you read the Bible. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, it will change you from the inside out.
That is the work of God in our lives.
To change us from the inside out and to slowly transform us into the image of His son.
Take time to read a portion of God's word each day. Pray that He will use it to turn your heart and mind to Him.

I got something to share about this ChristmasEVE..quite amazing to some extend..^^
On the ChristmasEVE I was attending a party..(at the same i was also SMS.ing Marcus)..me and him sort of got into some disagreements on some stuff after alot SMSes..one of it was on the -oni 5% alchoho added drink-..cause i started drinking the 5% thing.E and got a little high (but not drunk) then Marcus keep telling me don drink don drink but i didn't reli care..cause 5min b4 the that i had another disagreement with him and got pissed off .. So in the end we both sort of got pissed off on that night.. Then i rmb the morning that i read a chapter on 2Timonthy during QT..

Flee the evil desires of youth,and pursue righteousness,faith,love and peace,along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Dont have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments,because u know that arguements prodcued quarrels.And the Lord's servant must not quarrel;instead,he must be kind to everyone,able to teach,not resentful.Those who oppose him must gently instruct,in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of truth,and that they will come to there sonses ans escape from the trap of the devil,who has taken them captive to do his will.
Cause i decided need to sleep that night,at about 6 i went jogging from my house to Vivo to MountFaber safra with esther cause i got nothing better to do..while jogging i rmb this verse and everything got clear to me. God made me and Marcus fight to test us..so after that i SMSed him and say sorry this and that..
And in the end we both agreed upon this verse..Haha..AMEN!! ^^All Glory back to God...

went to pasir ris beach see so clear.. we were in the sea so u cant see us
we went to jog at the park but stop halfway cos many of us could not take the heat... we were lying behind the camera so u cant see us
we then went to white sands.. it was really white sand.. no water and so sunny and hot.. so everyone got disappointed and left for the beach again

Thanksgiving
Hi guys! I was praying this morning and my heart is filled with thanksgiving not only because God is great but also, I can't help but thank God for each one of you.
Each one of you are special in your own way and have made this youth zone an enjoyable one. It's a really BIG thank you for your presence in the zone, for the part you play (whether it may be joy or seriousness or lameness) and for your preserverance in making this zone work.
So people, let's carry on working together as one, 'We're All In This Together!' to glorify the Lord and bring the house down for Jesus!

Youth Fellowship cum Youth Dinner

Hmmm, jersey we can start seeking around now to check. So, we can make our ThirDaYouth jerseys sometime soon? The venue can be decided later on too and the rules such as limited subs will change to unlimited subs rotation=]
I know some boys and girls may not be good with the ball but do you all mind if we just play for the fun of it like those times we play soccer with boys, girls and adults at GESPS? From what I know, I think the other side don't mind playing with us =] so pls tag on the tagboard if you have any thoughts about this... Just youths only =]
P.S. I am SPARKO, hear me bark, I weigh half as much as you and I look good in a tuxedo...

Night Cycling
Hello to everyone who is going for NIGHT CYCLING!!! Woohoo... The day has FINALLY arrived!!! :)
Anyway, here are some stuff you need to bring:
1) Mosquito repellent
2) Water bottle (is a MUST!!!)
3) $10 bucks for breakfast at Macs (unless you intend to eat something more expensive or take a cab home because you are exhausted.)
4) Torch light
5) Sweets or energy bar (if you want to)
I think that will be all. Don't worry. Supper will be provided. Make sure you guys rest well and gear yourself up for TOMORROW!!!! :) And not to worry about injury or anything, by God's grace and protection we will be safe. Plus we have professional, qualified first aiders on the team.

Courage
There was a guy who took a final exam in his country.
He was supposed to write out an essay explaining a word. The word for the exam day is called courage.
So he looked around the classroom and many of his classmates were writing as though they can't finish the exam paper on time. So this guy stared at his paper and then he wrote 3 words and passed it up. The 3 words are "THIS IS COURAGE!"
Guess what his final mark was when he got back his paper???

haiz i got my next year the subjects that im taking..it very dissapointing..
i opted 4 art they gave me d&T..ENG LIT they gave geography.. LMAO..
...haha anyways better than taking history cause my exam overall for history is dam low!! haha..but no offense to those who like history..
Also...my sis de school is having some festival than help raise funds..guess wat??
My sis is cooking AGAR AGAR & COOKIES...I tried one of her agar agar and got diarrhoea the whole of yesterday..and she say nobody call u go try my food..lol..
Guess i got tricked by her..haha..haiz..
Also my class having farewell party on the 21 nov..!! BBQing and gaming from 3-7 at east coast.. -.-...LOL..and night cycling is after that...haiz cant sleep..

pain

I can't seem to stop looking at dresses and I have become addicted to online shopping which thankfully, I don't have a credit card.
But pray for me that I can control my spending... My hands are super, super itchy and I really want to buy some more stuff but I'm trying super hard not to spend it...

Termites
Hey guys, I just want to share this with you all. This morning when I woke up, my parents were cleaning up their room, actually it was only my mum, my dad was getting ready to go to work. As my mum was clearing up, she opened the top cupboard and behold, there were termites within the books. My mum wasn't the type that would scream and all, however, after seeing the termites, she did admit that she has goosebumps. It was really a huge army.
If you think one cupboard is affected, you are wrong, the termites had two nests in two of our top cupboards, not only that, the second cupboard was the worst hit. At the side of the cupboard, the termites were building a nest within some books as shown in the figure below.
The books were so hard to take out because of the nest. My dad was requested to stay at home to sort out the paperworks that he had kept all these years because my mum wouldn't want to throw away his "important" old documents. These were some of his books. Like I said earlier, this is the sight that gave my mum goosebumps. I told the liberty to help her push out the books. And what I saw after that would made girls scream I think. There were millions and millions of termites. They were crawling everywhere. I must admit that this is my first time I am encountering this. Below is how it looks when all the books were taken out. Although you can't really see the termites running around, they were like everywhere.
After all the books were taken care of, I then proceed to spray Becky's favourite weapon, the insect repellent. Right now, even as I am writing this, the cupboards are all empty and cleaned up. Kudos to my mum for doing what my dad wouldn't even think of doing. Haha...

For *cough* and people who have problems n in need of encouragement
this post is specially for people who are facing problems each day and feeling stress about it.
Coincidentially, this is today's bible verse from my daily bible verse.
So i wanna share that
Every problem is an opportunity to trust God.
We all experience difficulties, problems, and trials throughout life. usually, we also look for ways to solve those problems. All of the various solutions basically ask one of these two questions, "What can I do to solve this?" or, "What can God do to solve this?"
In other words, we either try to solve the problem on our own, or we let God solve it. obviously, it is much wiser to give your problems to God lah.
Therefore, in the midst of your problem, Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Trust God to solve your problems. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal (Isaiah 26:4).
Furthermore, when you truly trust in God, there is nothing to worry about. Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me" (John 14:1).
Make this your cry: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God" (Psalm 20:7).
Trust the Lord God Almighty in every area of your life, even during problems, because every problem gives you an opportunity to trust God.
And to those who are stress and needs encouragement, you can use philippians 4:6 and so on. Ya so i shared this. Actually this is a conversation of me and becky..haha..
so the verse say
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. "....next verse..."and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Becky said: so from that verse above,it basically means whether it is stress or someone makes u angry or something...we should present all these things to God in prayer..and then the peace of God will come...you see, by allowing anger to come in, we are allowing the devil to use us to react in not so good ways..therefore show love..because God is love...so... pray and ask God for the peace so that we can guard our hearts and our minds with Christ likeness
