Hi everyone!

Just want to say, thank you for praying for my teeth. They are perfectly fine now. I can talk, eat and eat and eat all the food that I want to eat.

Do you know how terrible I felt eating just porridge and soupy stuff. Looking on the bright side, I lost weight. Hahaha... :) But I think I just gained it back this week. Had a feast of food... Thanks to Ike and Isa...

Anyway, praise the Lord! :)

Sometimes waiting for wife to give birth is not good
There were three fathers to be in a hospital waiting room, waiting for their babies to be born.

The first nurse comes out and tells the first father, "Congratulations you're the father of twins!" He says, “Great! I am the manager for the Minnesota Twins.”

The second nurse comes out and tells the second father, "Congratulations you're the father of triplets”! He says, "That's cool! I work for 3M."

The third father opens the window and jumps out.

The third nurse comes out, and asks, “Where's the third father?"

One of the other fathers said, "Oh he jumped out the window.”

The nurse asks, "Why?"

He replied, "He works for Seven Up!"

How smart is your right foot?
This will keep you busy for a while, trying to outsmart your foot, but you can't.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.

Your foot will change direction. . . . . . and there's nothing you can do about it!

Try doing it 7 times in a row...

Hi guys! Just wanna thank you all for working together with me once again, for your patience and your understanding especially yesterday.

Just share a little something with you all...

The past few days have been quite 'rough' for me as my brother's mum in law passed away and we have been busy looking after my nephews and so forth.

I'm also suppose to be on MC, due to the tooth but still had to work from home for the AGM report rushing after people for their reports making sure that everything was going smoothly.

Hence, yesterday, I was totally drained from everything and today as well. I haven't been sleeping well plus I guess it's just the 'funeral' part. It's a long story plus some of you whom were not coming, did not tell me say that your not coming coz you were suppose to help with the PA stuff.

Oh well, so it was a long day yesterday and today after church is rushing off to the funeral where everything was just so 'moody'. Anyway, it's been a tough week for me at least and if I offended any of you yesterday, my apologies.

Sorry too, that rehearsal started later than expected. Next time a reminder to all musicians, please come earlier to get your instruments in proper place. (I shall make a mental note to that.)

Story

Hey guys, just wanna share with you all a story

There was once a competition for 3 polys to take part, so NYP, TP and RP took part in it. They are to find out how olden people communicate in Singapore. So therefore, with determination, they set off searching for clues.

The first team, NYP, went to the centre of Singapore and they dug 10 meters underground, they found some copper lying around. Happy with their findings, they went home and concluded in their report that last time, olden people communicate through copper wires.

The next team, TP, who doesn't want to be outrun by the first team, set off to another location of Singapore and they too dug 10 metres, they found instead materials meant to make glass. Happy with their findings, they went home and concluded in their report that last time, olden people communciate through fiber optics.

The last team, RP, who doesn't want to be outrun and outsmart by the first two teams, went to also another location of Singapore and they dug 10 metres, they could not find anything, so they dug 10 more metres underground. Still they couldn't find anything. Therefore, they went home and concluded that last time olden people communciate through wireless.

The END

P.S. After reading this, this story has no indication as to why RP is a school who uses wireless all the time :P

Tomorrow's plan

Hi Youth,

The day is finally here.... I hope you guys are excited about it!

OK.. Just to let you guys know...

We'll be meeting a bit earlier tomorrow in order to catch the crowd at Tiong Bahru plaza. We will meet in church at about 1.30pm, we'll have a quick briefing, some time to pray and then we're head down to Tiong Bahru Plaza by two. If you guys want to come earlier to pray, that will be really good as well.

Oh yes, there is no real dress code, just dress appropriately. No slippers or short shorts. Ah, most of your dressing is OK... so no worries... :)

See you all tomorrow!

Keep praying,

Love,

KKS

Valentine's Day Blitz

Hey Youth,

Its good to see so many of you coming for youth service and bonding really well together. It really encourages me to see all of you together. Let's continue to press in and spur each other on to grow not only in terms of friendships, but also in the Lord. Remember our four key points:
1. This is who I am
2. This is who I believe in
3. This is where I am going
4. Are you coming with me?
We're going to anchor ourselves on this...

This Saturday is our first ever blitz event. We're going to be blitzing Tiong Bahru Plaza. Meanwhile, in preparation for this event, I would like to ask you guys to pray for this event. Pray for divine appointments, for God to just send in the right people for you to talk to. Can I encourage you guys to keep an open mind on how God can use you to bless this community. Keep praying, keep asking, keep seeking. Remember, God says that his word will not return unto him void. Whatever seeds we sow, God is going to use it.

Meanwhile, in preparation for this event, i'm going to have a prayer meeting just for the youth this wednesday in church. We'll start at 7.30pm. So yah, those of you that can make it, please come. We're going to get down on our hands and knees to intercede for this community - that God would use us as a blessing unto this community.

Alright... I'll be posting more details about Saturday's event soon. You can ask friends to come along too (due to the nature of the blitz, it'll be good if they were believers already. If they're not, its OK, they can come along too, but they cannot give out the coasters. Yes, they can stay with you, but they cannot approach people).

Okies... have an awesome week ahead, and we're see you all soon.

Love,

KKS

Sunday, February 1, 2009

Hi everyone! Yesterday I was filled with rage and fury. Ok... exaggerating... However, I was angry with some people. And so I prayed and started to seek the Lord. In the end, I get the answer, "What Would Jesus Do?" Haha... :)

Help Me Forgive
When rage and fury overwhelm my heart,
It’s time to look to God’s own Holy Word.
I search the Bible for His good advice;
My will to His commands must be deferred.

In Romans God reveals His love for me;
In all things God works only for my good;
He gives me blessings I can’t understand;
I’d be peaceful if I’d do the things I should.

Jesus forgave so much; why then can’t I?
I want to mold my life after His own.
I pray, I try, but my sinful nature wins;
Lord, help me, I can’t do this thing alone.

In Colossians, I read about the peace of Christ;
Oh, how I long to feel it in my heart.
All I have to do is to forgive,
But Lord, it seems I don’t know where to start.
I need to walk a mile in the other’s shoes;
They’re doing what they think they have to do.

I know some problems are blessings in disguise,
But Lord, sometimes I feel so doggone blue.

Ephesians says "forgive as the Lord forgave you;
Get rid of anger and every form of malice."
I’d love to just let go and release it all,
But upon my heart is a wound that’s become a callus.

I’ll keep praying, trying, Lord, no matter what;
I’m determined to let go and relinquish blame;
Some day, I’ll say, and be truly sincere:
"I forgive it all in Jesus’ precious name."

There are many times when we get angry and let our emotions take over to doing or even saying what is right. Always remember to look to God always, in case, we say something wrong and cause more damage to whatever that is happening.

Love, JJB
